We are from the Steubenville, Ohio area. Steubenville is an unassuming and moderate sized community located on the banks of the Ohio River. The area is dominated by steel mills and people as hard as the product they produced. It is halfway between the major Mob stronghold towns of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Youngstown, Ohio. Steubenville is also the hometown of Dean Martin, the famous singer, actor, and friend of the Mob. Dean got his start as a boxer and singer in the area. Later, Dean and Frank Sinatra would frequent the area and left a lasting impression of Class and Style, as tuxedo wearing gentleman - MOB.
Money flowed into the area during the 20th Century due to the high demand for steel and the corresponding jobs it produced. The area thrived and the Mob thrived. In the earlier parts of the century the Mob made considerable amounts of money through illegal bootlegging of liquor and gambling. These illegal establishments were hid behind the brick façade of cigar storefronts. Certain associates who got their start here later ran the Cuban casino business and were closely associated with Meyer Lansky. Lansky and Salvatore “Lucky” Luciano organized crime in America. Hyman Roth, the character in The Godfather Part II, is based on Lansky.

Part of our upcoming proceeds will go towards funding a study in a Public School system where the student teacher ratio will be reduced to 15-1 or less and the school year will be extended year round to see the affects this has on learning and achievement.
